Sevenoaks Conservation Area New House

Garden View For Bird Watcher

The client is a keen bird watcher and the main requirement was to have all windows from the living spaces and master bedroom facing the garden.

So we placed the house at the back of the plot with the garden taking up most of the front. We used the natural slope of the site to create level changes that include double height interior spaces with interesting internal views, especially from the stairs.

The roof is essentially a long single slope with a light scoop cut into it to catch the south west sun and bring that down into the centre of the plan.
