Tim and Jon first met in 2001 when they worked together as Jon Hughes Design, the practice Jon founded in 1990.
The success of that collaboration led to JHD Architects being formed in 2005. JHD Architects combines our complimentary design and technical talents with years of experience of designing and building new houses and residential extensions.

We have an excellent track record for obtaining planning permission, especially for homes in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, replacement new houses in Greenbelt land and for contemporary residential extensions to grade 2 listed buildings.
Virtual Reality 3D Models
We use 3D design to its fullest extent, producing 3D virtual reality models for clients to ‘walk around’ before the first brick is laid. Working so extensively in 3D also our designs are matched by the reality of construction. This clarity of information saves money by avoiding costly changes on site and controlling your financial risk.
