We have recently gained listed building consent for a contemporary extension to a listed building in Sevenoaks. People often wrongly assume that extensions to listed buildings need to replicate the existing. This design avoids that trap and the new extension is a deliberate contrast, whilst at the same time it does not harm the setting of the main listed building.
As Architects we have the confidence and ability to design in way that compliments the existing listed building without harming the heritage fabric or the setting.
